I MARRY MYSELF

my
dearly
b.
loved

take my hand

I arrive at this altar
apprehensive

Terrified
to say the things
I'm about to say:

Please love me,

             hold me,

                             Never let

            me

                         go

I'll
be
leaving
my
tears
with
you

Promise to remind
me of beauty
my soul

Should ever I lose sight of
my deep significance

 I'll be letting my dreams
                               on you;
rouse you

 Promise to laugh
at my conviction
Only when I pass
under shadow
of doubt

I share my
Passion/

 fruit

Stay

Even when it feels
too precious;
too breakable

Please stay - in the believing land

    I trust you
I pray you trust me too
Trust
Willingness. Laughter. Invention. Enthusiasm. Intelligence. Humanness. Holiness. Half-baked. Full-baked. Unripened still.

my

gathered in me today
hold my hand, love my heart, say you will...

  5. To me, this is kind of like creating a mythology for yourself - very powerful! Linking the moment to the mythology seems the challenge; one really has to BELIEVE and, as you say, stay in the believing land. This inspires me for it's vast positivity! thank you.

  7. It is hard to make a comment, when you have said it all. This is the key to it all, isn't it Akka? I think I will renew my vows along with you.

  8. Congratulations! Beautiful vows! I'm in a wedding mood myself--my husband and I will recommit ourselves at Burning Man this year: 10 years ago we traveled to the desert together and it transformed our friendship into something more...

  11. Beautiful! I love it. Many blessing to the newly wed. You know, I actually proposed to myself a few weeks ago with a beautiful antique/vintage ring I bought at an art-party. Now I am shopping for my dress.
    Love to you!

  24. I couldn't say more when I first looked at the pictures. I was rendered speechless. I wrote my sigh before the contest was announced, just to express the profound impact the whole concept and its beautifull realization had on me. Raksha is also a true artist in her own right, isn't she!
Thank you and congratulations again! A
